EcoMedic is dedicated to the practical
application of ecosystem restoration principles for landowners who wish to take
an environmentally friendly approach to managing their property.
EcoMedic works with landowners to develop
and implement practical management plans that will enable them to become true
stewards of their land.
Sandy Agnew is a Certified Engineering Technician, a graduate of Niagara College’s Ecosystem Restoration course and a Managed Forest Plan Approver. He has been involved in ecological restoration for over 30 years with such groups as Black Creek Project of Toronto, Trout Unlimited Canada and Severn Sound Environmental Association. Since 2002 Sandy has operated EcoMedic Ecological Restoration Services, working for private landowners, NGO’s and government agencies. He is a former councillor in Oro-Medonte Township and former member of the Lake Simcoe and Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authorities boards and the Couchiching Conservancy board.
Sandy holds memberships in numerous environmental groups including the Ontario Society for Ecological Restoration, Ontario Woodlot Association, Huronia Woodlot Owners Association and Ontario Nature. He is a provincial appointee to the Lake Simcoe Coordinating Committee and currently sits on the boards of Zero Waste Simcoe, AWARE Simcoe and Kids For Turtles Environmental Education.

will improve quality of the woodlot, but sets out activities to enhance
biodiversity, wildlife habitat and water quality of the local river (Zephyr
Creek).

The project completed by EcoMedic on Pefferlaw
Brook included design and implementation of the ecological management plan of the client's
property. A special attention was given to erosion prevention and installation
of a bottom draw to protect the cold water habitat of the stream.
